This awards season has been nothing short of amazing for the PomPom team. From the Work Ready Kāpiti Annual Awards, to the Electra Business & Innovation Awards, and the TIA New Zealand Tourism Awards, we have witnessed many moments of celebration, connection, and inspiration.
Work Ready Kāpiti Annual Awards
Held on our beautiful Kāpiti Coast, the Work Ready Kāpiti Annual Awards once again brought together an inspiring community and shone a light on the incredible rangatahi, educators and employers driving positive change in our region.
PomPom Events & Marketing has been proud to support Work Ready Kāpiti, as Operations and Programme Managers for the past seven years. It has been a privilege to see the programme grow and evolve, and to celebrate the people and purpose behind it. Seeing the passion, confidence and achievements of young people recognised on stage is always a highlight.
The awards evening was filled with genuine warmth and joy. This year's award recipients represented a wide range of achievements, and each winner's story demonstrated the impact of determination, connection and opportunity, along with a team of employers, mentors, and educators helping make it happen.
A big thank you to the Work Ready Kāpiti Board, funders, and local business supporters who continue to champion the next generation of workers, and to every volunteer and crew member who helped make the evening seamless.

Electra Business & Innovation Awards
For the sixth year running, PomPom was proud to deliver the Electra Business & Innovation Awards, celebrating business excellence, creativity, and resilience across the Horowhenua and Kāpiti regions.
Hosted at the stunning Southward Car Museum, the 2025 awards evening was beautifully emceed by Jesse Mulligan, who brought laughter and warmth to a night of joy and recognition.
From the backstage buzz to the final award presentation, our team - Natalie, Charlotte, Trish, and Hayley - worked alongside the BKH board, judges, and sponsors to ensure every moment reflected the innovation and dedication of our local business community.
This year's winners included businesses recognised for: sustainability, innovation, community impact and business excellence across an incredible cross-section of industries. Each finalist shared a story of vision, adaptability, and courage, qualities that continue to drive our region forward.
The atmosphere on the night was electric with colleagues celebrating colleagues, competitors cheering each other on, and sponsors proudly supporting the people behind every great idea. It's this sense of collaboration and connection that makes the Electra Awards so special, year after year.

TIA New Zealand Tourism Awards
PomPom was proud to support the TIA New Zealand Tourism Awards, the premier celebration of excellence within Aotearoa’s tourism sector. Held at Tākina Wellington Convention & Exhibition Centre, this prestigious event brought together innovators, leaders, and changemakers from all over the country to honour those driving the future of New Zealand tourism.
With Te Radar as the emcee, the energy in the room was one of community - an amazing celebration of people who pour heart and passion into Aotearoa's tourism industry. The sense of connection and mutual support throughout the event was something extremely special.
It was an honour for PomPom to play a role in delivering such a meaningful and high-profile event, bringing together the best of Aotearoa’s tourism sector under one roof to celebrate, inspire, and connect.
